Northeast State and the City of Kingsport have teamed
up to create and develop the Regional Center for Applied
Technology (RCAT), located at 222 W. Main Street in
downtown Kingsport. The Center provides higher education
opportunities and community enrichment classes for all
citizens of the Tri-Cities area, including business
and industry, traditional and non-traditional students,
high school students through dual-enrollment programs,
and senior citizens.
An integrated approach using traditional instruction
coupled with extensive technology prepare area residents
with the skills for good jobs and offers employers access
to a well-trained high-quality workforce. The Center
offers numerous courses of study, including those in
the areas of computer science, business management,
and office administration technology. For a complete

Operating hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on
Friday.
